Time Out

Just an OR nurse typing away while sipping on some coffee.  What is a TIME OUT ? A time out is a brief conversation done immediately before the start of an invasive procedure. Essentially, are we doing the right surgery for the right patient. I suppose before this time out was implemented, we would cut willy-nilly into whatever patient walked into, cutting off wrong limbs and what not. It is the STANDARD for patient safety. I think time outs can be applied to all aspects of life. A time out from work, a time out from life, a time out can literally be just time OUT. Ha! Cheesy. Anyways, this blog will contain things I find hilarious (with my sick sense of humour) and on the other spectrum of things, pictures that I find helpful for the O.R. Hope you enjoy!
